Happy Bastille Day! In honor of the French National Day, we asked our very own Magdalena Jasek who just graced a handful of runways at the Fall 15 Couture Week in Paris to share her memories of the City of Light!

How does it feel to be walking Paris Couture again, and how does it compare to your first time?
My first couture season was 5 years ago — when I was 16 and I could barely walk in high heels, so it’s really hard to compare it as the difference is big. Back then I hated it and I was horrified, now I love walking the runway and I feel super confident about it!
What were the shows like? Which was your favorite look that you wore?
They were beautiful, extraordinary, magical — as it always is with couture shows. My favorite was Jean Paul Gaultier where I was dressed in an amazing feather coat in black and red. I felt like a super powerful villain queen!
What’s your favorite thing about the city?
Food! And the fact that you can bike everywhere as it’s small enough for that.
Favorite Parisian food and restaurant?
Croissants! For lunch or dinner I like Café Ruc at Rue Saint Honoré.
What’s one thing you want to do in Paris and haven’t gotten the chance to do?
Go to Disney land!
